I loooooove Lexx!! It's so campy, sexy and awful, all at the same time. Xev is my hero, she doesn't take crap from anybody. I like Stanley because he offers resistance to Xev's strong headed nature, creating all sorts of lovely conflict.

Thank you for taking the time to critique it I didn't want to do a traditional "fan art" type of piece, so I'm glad it came across!

Did you notice that Stanley never gets any sex, except weird, unwanted sex, like that time with the robot head... Cai (sp?) is good for a laugh too. I loved the episode where he lay down in the garden to 'decompose'.

I think you accomplished what you set out to do. It's a tribute or a jumping-off point, rather than fan art.

The episode with the robot head and his new body is hilarious! I made my husband watch it, because I couldn't stop laughing the first time.

I have a crush on Kai. I saw an interview with him in real life, and he's like the cute philosophy professor I never had. He also has great comic timing I'll try to do more Lexx related art

Lexx is a scream. I'd like to think that some of that comes from the Canadian connections involved in the show.

Kai (tres cute) comes across as quite intelligent in an interview and, surprisingly, so does Stan...

In Lexx art everything would be alive (even the toilet! Don't think about that for too long). There are recurring bug and hexogon motifs too.

There are a lot of Canadians in television I've noticed. If you've ever seen Ginger Snaps (a Canadian werewolf film), the lead actress in that is in almost every American tv show.

I think you have to be moderately intelligent to do comedy. It take so much timing and improvisation to get it right.

You all like the flat accents of the people from Ontario to BC. They're mostly comedians or news announcers. We seem to have an inordinate number of people in the arts, especially lit and comedy. Must be the long winters. You can only take so much snuggling, beer and hockey, I guess.

Well, I'd have to agree with that whole-heartedly... since I write humour. Yes, it's really challenging. For writers, sitting alone at the keyboard, laughing at their own jokes, it's hard to know if the timing and tone is right.
