Literature Text

you and I were
young and tender in the frost
white threads of mildew spidering
fairy lights dancing on batwings petal soft
mourning doves cooing to crow’s feet scraping
droppings spackling sidewalk chalk drawings
children hopscotching poppies
and marigolds tipping blazing bonnets
toward the sun dried apples raisining

you and I were
under the sway of arctic all day night

oh how I remember you when winter posed as spring

Better title suggestions, please.

Is the meaning/theme open to interpretation?

Beautiful! I think that the title is lovely; while it has been used many times before, it did not seem cliched at all.

'and marigolds tipping blazing bonnets
toward the sun dried apples raisining' Ah, I love your imagery!
